This marks Vetter’s fourth internationally recognized award for its syringe closure system, Vetter-Ject.
Vetter, an international contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on the production of aseptically prefilled syringes, was awarded the World Packaging Organization’s (WPO) WorldStar award 2016 for the company’s syringe closure system Vetter-Ject. This marks the fourth award Vetter has received for the system, including the iF Design Award, the Red Dot Award, and the German Packaging Award.
According to WPO, the WorldStar awards “are presented only to those packages which, having already won recognition in a national competition are compared by an expert panel of judges to similar packages from around the world.” In a press announcement from Vetter, the company explains representatives from 19 packaging associations judged 293 projects entered into the WorldStar competition from 35 countries. Vetter previously won the WorldStar award in 1998 for the Vetter Lyo-Ject dual chamber syringe.
Vetter also announced that the company received a 2016 CMO Leadership Award from Life Science Leader magazine. The company was named a winner in four categories including quality, capabilities, expertise, and compatibility.
