STEERLife and the University of Mississippi will collaborate on fractional lobe processing research.

On Nov, 15, 2016 STEERLife, creator of proprietary continuous processing technology, and the University of Mississippi, announced an agreement for collaborative research using fractional lobe processing. The agreement is for the development of advanced pharmaceutical applications including semisolid formulations for dermal and transdermal applications.

Under the terms of the agreement, STEERLife will invest over a period of four years. STEERLife will provide the proprietary co-rotating twin screw technology platform and equipment with fractional lobe technology and training in use of the technology, and the company will sponsor a doctoral research program. The partnership will also engage students pursuing their Masters, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral studies on research-based projects. S.Narasimha Murthy, professor of Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery at the University's School of Pharmacy, will be the principal investigator, and Michael Repka, professor and chair of Department of Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery, will be the co-investigator of this research project.
