ISPE Announces Acting CEO and President

Tim Howard will assume the role of acting ISPE CEO and president after John Bournas steps down from the positions.

On Jan. 8, 2020, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) announced that Tim Howard, vice president of Strategic Development for CAI, will assume the role of acting ISPE CEO and president after John Bournas steps down from those positions. Howard will lead the company as the ISPE board searches for a permanent replacement.

Howard previously worked with Eli Lilly, is a former naval nuclear submarine officer, and was licensed as a senior reactor operator on a commercial nuclear power plant before serving in various senior roles at CAI. Howard also served on the International Board of Directors of ISPE from 2011 to 2019, serving as chair in 2018.
