Broadley-James Expands Distribution of Distek’s Benchtop Controllers in UK and Ireland

US-based Distek, a manufacturer of laboratory testing instruments, announced on Jan. 28, 2025 that Broadley-James, a UK-headquartered supplier of pH and dissolved oxygen sensors for life science applications, is now distributing Distek's BIOne Benchtop Controllers across the United Kingdom and Ireland. This expansion builds on a partnership the two companies began in 2017 in which they introduced the BIOne Single-Use Bioreactor (2 L) for mammalian cell culture (1).

Distek’s portfolio has since expanded, and continues to expand, now featuring a comprehensive range of benchtop bioreactor solutions including:

• BIOne 250 Bioprocess Control for microbial applications
• BIOne 1250 Bioprocess Control for mammalian and microbial applications
• BIOne Single-Use Bioreactors for cell culture and cell-free applications
• BIOne Single-Use Fermenters for a variety of microbial applications

The offering of a complete portfolio such as this enables researchers and scientists in the UK and Ireland to access Distek’s bioprocessing solutions, which provide flexibility and are user-friendly. These bioprocessing solutions are applicable to both mammalian and microbial operations (1).
