Crucell Acquires Berna Products Corp.

Dutch biotechnology company Crucell N.V. (Leiden, The  Netherlands, www.crucell.com) has purchased Florida-based Berna Products Corp. from Acambis. Crucell is a biotechnology company focused on R&D and marketing vaccines and antibodies that prevent and treat infectious diseases. Berna Products was formed to market Vivotif, an oral typhoid fever vaccine, in the US and Canada. The company was acquired by Acambis in 2003.
